A couple of Siemens Combino trams are operating in Brussels for evaluation by the STIB. One is apparently a demonstrator, the other (un-numbered) is reported to be from a batch intended for delivery to Potsdam or Erfurt. The tests are carried out at night and this picture shows the "Erfurt" car at Ixelles, 26 June 2003

The Bombardier Flexity Outlook prototype T3001 for Brussels (STIB/MIVB), which was taken during its first exhibition to the public, in Pl. Poelaert on 18 September 2005. Although the picture doesn't show all the T3001's body, it does provide a contrast with the adjacent 'euro-PCC' car 7771. After some technical tests, T3001 has recently been operated successfully in service, during the rush hour on line 93 (which carries ULB students).

DE LIJN Gent PCC09 not long before it was renovated with new interior, doors and drivers cab. It is seen on line 40 during the "Gentse feesten" (Feasts of Ghent), mid-July 2002. Line 40 is between Gent Sint Pieters and the Muidebrug (+-5km) never disturbed by cars since its tracks are almost entirely on reservation. Next to the tram are warning signals wich flash when a tram of line 1 will cross the street. The 40 continues straight on. July 2002
DE LIJN Gent PCC01 in Martelaarslaan. A lady climbs aboard of a tram line 22, behind this tram, a tram of line 40. Here trams cross the street when the traffic lights are red for the cars, they will do so in just a second. Mid-july 2002

Lobbes-Thuin Museum
Steam engine 303, dating from 1888. The oldest vicinal steam engine from Belgium, with trailers 1853 and 2026 and PCC car 10409, dating from 1947.
Diesel car 300, dated 1947.
The four miles long tramway line Thuin - Lobbes follows a route unknown by automobiles, using short-cuts through the fields, avoiding "modern" civilization. The old Church Saint Ursmer, with foundations of the IXth century, the Monastery of Lobbes, the crossing of the River Sambre are unique views, that only tramway passengers can contemplate !
