Spanish company wins Sacramento order: The Spanish company Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF) of Madrid has won an order to supply 24 light rail vehicles for the new south line extension to Meadowview in Sacramento USA, which is due to open in 2003. The order is believed to be worth USD76 million. This is the companies first order in the United States and is all the more impressive in that it beat Siemens who have an assembly plant in Sacramento.
