Le Mans chooses the tram: The "Communaute Urbaine du Mans" voted 40 to nil for tramways on rails. (The opposition declined to vote). The project is for one route of 13,5km between "Universite Nord"and "Antares" with a branch to Sablons". The cost = approximately 1,3 milliards French Francs. The system is expected to open in 2003 or 2004.
