Dublin Line C consultation: The Dublin Light Rail Project Office has produced a consultation leaflet on Line C which is an extension of Line A from Abbey Street to Connolly Station. There are three basic options: via Talbot Street; via Abbey Street Lower or via Eden Quay. There are a number of sub options with the latter two. The current position with the other lines is:
  • Line A: Tallaght - Abbey St. Construction to start 2000
  • Line B: Sandyford - St. Stephens Green: Light Railway Order application submitted. Public Inquiry to be held in a few months.
  • Line D: Broadstone - Ballymun - Airport: Preliminary consultation launched December 1998.
  • St. Stephens Green - Broadstone: Preliminary studies on underground section will commence shortly with borehole drilling to start later in the year.
