Bombardier trams headed to Vancouver : Bombardier Transportation and the City of Vancouver have signed a sponsorship agreement which will see two of the manufacturer's FLEXITY Outlook trams running on the city's Downtown Streetcar Demonstration Project for 60 days in 2010, including during the Winter Olympics, from 21 January to 21 March. The two cars will come from the order for an additional 87 trams that will at that time be in delivery to the Belgian capital Brussel/Bruxelles. The new tramline will connect Granville Island with the Canada Line Olympic Village Station at Cambie St/West 2nd Ave (3 km) at a cost of CAD 8.5 M using the alignment of the Downtown Historic Railway.
