Norfolk (US) light rail funded
:
On 1 October the US Federal Transit Administration signed a full funding agreement for the 12-km starter light rail line in the east-coast city of Norfolk. The USD 232.1 M project should be completed in early 2010 and will receive USD 128 M in FTA funding plus USD 32 M from the Commonwealth of Virginia. This is the 19th federally-funded light rail project since 1997.
