Alstom to supply demonstration tram to Buenos Aires : Alstom has signed an agreement to supply a demonstration tramway to the Argentine capital. The 2-km line will be built in the Puerto Madero district and two articulated cars will be imported to run it. The project will be financed by the national government and will run for an undisclosed time while the ministry and the city council decided on the scope for future infrastructure projects. Work will start straight away and the line could be operating by the end of the year.
