Trams for Shanghai: It is reported that eight new tram lines totaling some 389km are to be constructed in the booming city of Shanghai. One of these, No, 7, is intended to open towards the end of 2009 ready for the 2010 World Expo. This line will be 36km with 28 stops and is expected to carry some 120,000 to 150,000 passengers during the World Fair period
