Valenciennes Citadis on show: Photo: Alan Reekie The first tram of the initial batch of 17 Alstom 'Citadis' to be delivered to Valenciennes was put on show by SITURV (Syndicat Intercommunal des Transports Urbains de la Region de Valenciennes) in front of the city's Town Hall, from 25 to 28 February. As can be seen in the picture it remained on the delivery trailer as tracklaying has only recently begun between the depôt site at St-Waast and the two ajacent stopping-points, on the right of way formerly occupied by the Anzin industrial railway, and it will be several months before the depôt can provide suitable accommodation. So the (as yet unnumbered) tram will initially be taken to the nearby test track at Petite Forêt for running-in.

Further details (in french) can be found on the SITURV website
