Another Madrid contract for Alstom: As the Spanish capital gears up for the construction of its first four light rail lines, Alstom has followed up its success in the rolling stock contract (70 Citadis low-floor trams ordered for delivery in 2006-7) by winning the contract for the supply and maintenance of signaling equipment. The value of this contract is EUR 56 million, and covers supply and installation as well as the first three years maintenance.
