Oslo progress: The Kjelsås tramline in Oslo (closed abruptly in November 2002) probably will reopen later this year, most likely at September the 25th, when the Kjelsås line celebrates its 70 year anniversary. The news came following a meeting in the city council, where reopening was approved, following a grant of NOK 25 million for track repair and maintenance.

Also approved were measures such as increasing frequency on most tram and metro lines, and spending more money on public transport in general. The Kolsås metro line is still curtailed however.
