Nancy guided trolleybus to return to service:
After a long period of testing it is expected that the guided trolleybus will return to service on March 13th, just over a year since it was suspended after two accidents occurred within a week of each other. Both accidents occurred where the line changes from guided mode to unguided with the vehicles losing stability causing the rear end to strike a traction pole.
The return to service will be phased with the substitute bus service initially being continued.
The TVR (Transport sur Voie Reservé) vehicle as delivered to Nancy by Bombardier is double articulated and styled to look like a light rail vehicle. Guidance is by a double flanged wheel which is pressed onto a flush rail with a groove either side.
