MPK Lodz will be the first transport authority in Poland to operate a 100% low-floor Street-Tram in revenue service.

A total number of 15 Cityrunner trams were ordered by MPK Lodz from Bombardier Transportation. Each vehicle, which has a total length of 29.5 meters and a width of 2.3 meters, offers a total capacity for 151 passengers and is designed for 1000 mm gauge. They have four wide double-sliding doors as well as an entrance height of only 320 mm. The first vehicle was produced in Vienna. The remainder will be delivered as modules to MPK Lodz and will be assembled in a newly adapted construction site.

The pictures show the arrival of the first CityRunner for MPK Lodz at 4:28 am on 15 December.
