Tony Depledge to be Arriva Development Director:
LRTA President Tony Depledge is to leave his post as Managing Director
of Blackpool Transport at the end of September to become Development
Director of Arriva, the major European transport group. He will be
involved in their bids to operate rapid transit projects such as Leeds
Supertram. Mr Depledge, who recently completed a term as President of
the Confederation of Passenger Transport UK, is also Vice-Chairman of
the UITP Light Rail Commission.
