Göteborg (Gothenburg) chooses Sirio:
Gothenburg tramways has placed an order with Italian manufacturer
AnsaldoBreda for the supply of 40 Sirio low-floor trams at a contract
price of over SEK 600 million. The trams will be 29 m long and 2.65 m
wide with room for 83 seated and 96 standing passengers. Two prototype
cars will be delivered in 2003, with the remainder following in 2004/5.
There is an option for a further 80 cars.
