Memphis funding: A contribution of USD59.7 million towards the USD 74.6 million needed to build an extension to the central business district's Main Street Trolley/Riverfront Loop vintage rail system was announced by U.S. Secretary of Transportation Rodney E. Slater. The 2.5 mile extension will have six stops and link the Medical Centre area, two universities and a baseball stadium to the business district.
