Paris orders Citadis: The Paris Transport Authority RATP has placed an order with Alstom for 13 Citadis 100% low-floor trams, which will be used to boost capacity on lines T1 (Saint Denis-Bobigny) and T2 (La Defense-Issy Val de Seine). Delivery of the air-conditioned, 31-m long and 2.4-m wide cars will start in March 2002. There is an option for a further 47 trams to be delivered as the Paris tram network expands over the next 10 years. The total contract for 60 trams is worth EUR 97.5 million.
