Dublin order: CIE Light Rail has placed two follow-on orders for Alstom Citadis 301 low-floor trams, to supplement the 20 initial 30-m cars ordered in May 1999. Six more trams of this type (contract value EUR 8.4 million) will be delivered between July and September 2002 to provide a full service on the extended line A. Between September 2002 and March 2003 14 cars with a length of 40 m (contract value EUR 28 million) will arrive for use on line B between Sandyford and St Stephen's Green. Thus the first two routes will be worked by 40 trams.
